MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - The Kappa League National Signing Day event celebrated acceptance of 15 of its members into college, mirroring signing day activities of America's top collegiate prospects.
Some of the institutions the young men will be attending are: The University of Alabama, Alabama A & M University, Alabama State University, University of Alabama at Birmingham, and Faulkner State Community College.
"Our seniors deserve the same excitement and fanfare as a blue chip recruit for their decision to continue their education," Chris Rogers, Kappa League advisor and member of University of Alabama's 2009 BCS Championship team said, "I remember the day I committed to Alabama. This is something these guys will never forget."
The Mobile Kappa League currently consists of over 80 local young men from grades 9 through 12.
The 2013 senior Kappa League members received over $1,244,731 in scholarship offers.
