Charissa Cowart

Charissa Cowart was born and raised right here in Mobile. She graduated from UMS- Wright Preparatory High School and went on to receive a Bachelor Degree from Samford University in Birmingham, AL.

While at Samford, Charissa was chosen as the 6^th Best Television Reporter in the Southeast by the SEJC. She was also was awarded the Journalism Brick Award her senior year.

She is a member of Phi Mu Fraternity and was crowned Miss Samford University 2006, a part of the Miss Alabama/ Miss America Organization.

Charissa now resides in Mobile and is involved in her church, Moffett Road Assembly of God where she is the Drama Director.

Charissa is currently the Daily Dot Com reporter at FOX10 News as well as the Internet Producer for fox10tv.com.
