Eric Reynolds

Morning anchor

Eric Charles Reynolds, a native of Albany and Atlanta, Georgia, is the FOX10 Morning News co-anchor in Mobile, Alabama. Eric is back in a familiar place after leaving FOX10 in February 1998 to go into private business with his co-anchor and wife, Eleanor Reynolds.

Eric is a broadcast journalist of more than 25 years and a United States Air Force veteran. He is a graduate of the Department of Defense Information School. He also majored in Mass Communications at Norfolk State University, with additional studies at Morehouse College and Columbia Bible University. Reynolds has extensive experience in various aspects of Broadcasting. Some include Radio Station Owner and General Manager of four stations in Virginia and North Carolina; Radio and Television Broadcasting Specialist and Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force, with American Forces Radio and Television Service; Television and Radio Broadcast Account Executive, Writer, Producer, Director, Talk Show Host, Sports Director, News and Sports Anchor and Reporter at radio and television stations in Virginia, Florida, North Carolina, and Portugal.

Incidentally, Eric and FOX10 News 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. news anchor Bob Grip once worked together in the 1980s for NBC affiliate WAVY-TV in Norfolk, Virginia.

Eric co-anchored and co-produced the FOX10 Morning News program in Mobile with his wife Eleanor Reynolds for five years. They were one of the few husband and wife television news co-anchor/producer teams in the nation and are said to be the first African-American husband and wife team to do so in the world.

Reynolds is the recipient of numerous awards. Some of the most recent include the Eagle Award given by the Mobile Chamber of Commerce and the Communication and Leadership Award from Toastmasters International District 29 in Mobile, Alabama in recognition of the accomplishments of he and Eleanor's company, FunStuff Productions.

Eric is a highly sought-after Master of Ceremonies and a passionate public speaker. He has guest lectured at several national and local Business and Professional Conferences, Universities, Schools, and Churches. Eric, along with his wife Eleanor also present Family Literacy Workshops, Motivational Marriage Seminars, and Health & Wellness Presentations. He is also a trained Community Health Advisor and represents several health agencies including the American Cancer Society. Eric's health lecture series focuses on Men's Health, Prostate Awareness, and Family Nutrition.

Eric and Eleanor have two precious children, Elissa and Evan.
