Hubert Tate

Hubert Tate is a member of the FOX 10 reporting team. He joined WALA in June 2008.

He comes to the Gulf Coast from the heart of Cajun country, Lafayette, Louisiana. He was a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor at KLFY. Hubert began his career in 2004 at WJTV in Jackson, MS as a part-time video editor.

Hubert graduated from Jackson State University in May 2007 with a degree in broadcast journalism. He was a 2004 drum major of the school’s marching band, “The Sonic Boom of the South.” He is a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists.

Hubert is originally from Jackson, Mississippi and happy to make a new home in Mobile. Hubert loves speaking to youth groups and outreach ministries about enjoying life as it is.
