Michael White

Meteorologist

Meteorologist Michael White is the newest member of the FOX10 StormTracker team.

Michael holds two degrees. His first was a degree in Communications from the University of Alabama, and the second is a degree in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University.

He is a professional member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association. He currently holds the seal of approval from the AMS.

Michael is the morning meteorologist for FOX10 News and can be seen weekdays from 5:00 to 8:00 a.m. with Eric Reynolds and Sarah Wall. He also provides weather updates on the CW, Fox10tv.com, and Weather Now on Cox Cable.

Michael started at FOX10 in December 2009. He was very familiar with the local FOX affiliate. He grew up watching the station, and former Chief Meteorologist John Edd Thompson, whenever he would visit his grandparents in Pensacola.

Prior to moving to Mobile, Michael got his start as a radio disc jockey in his home town of Dothan, Alabama. He later got the itch to move into the exciting world of television weather. He got his first TV job in Tuscaloosa at WVUA, and recently in Augusta, Georgia at WRDW. While in Augusta, Michael gained solid severe weather experience from dealing with tornadoes, flooding, and even hurricanes.

Michael is an avid University of Alabama football fan. He will pull for Mississippi State, but not if they're playing Bama. Besides watching sports in his spare time, Michael loves the outdoors and going to the beach.

Most of all, he's excited about being closer to home and living near the Gulf Coast. Click here to send Michael an email.
