Steve Alexander joined FOX10 News as weekend assignment editor in March 2012. He moved to general assignment reporter in August 2012.

Steve is a 34-year veteran of broadcast journalism.

He's a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Loyola University.

Before coming to WALA-TV as a reporter, Steve was a reporter/anchor at WKRG-TV in Mobile. He has also served as weekend anchor/reporter at WVUE-TV in New Orleans, weekight anchor/producer at KDEB-TV in Springfield, Missouri, weeknight anchor/reporter at WTVW in Evansville, Indiana, and news director/weeknight anchor at KAVU-TV in Victoria, Texas.

He was won numerous local Press Club awards, as well as the George Washington Medal from the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge for a series on a medical rescue of children in Honduras.

Steve looks forward to continuing to serve the Gulf Coast.
