Marian Mason

MOBILE, Ala. - Marian Mason is the Executive Director for the Central Baldwin Chamber of Commerce.  She began last October, 2007.  Prior to working for the Chamber, Marian assisted Hurricane Katrina victims when she worked for a non-profit organization (LDS Employment Resource Services) for 18 months in Mobile assisting them with locating employment, returning to school or beginning a business.

Marian and her husband and two daughters moved to Alabama in 2004 from the United Kingdom where her husband was a US Navy representative assisting the British government with their submarine program. 

Marian's background includes a degree in journalism from the University of Texas at Austin, working as a broadcast journalist for 20 years in Austin and the San Francisco Bay Area, then moving into marketing for J. Walter Thompson advertising and American Express.

Her interests include kayaking, travel and helping to build a more vibrant community in the Central Baldwin area.
