MOBILE, Ala. - Beth Morrissette is the immediate Past President and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Junior League of Mobile (JLM). JLM is a women’s volunteer community service organization that has been promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving our community for 77 years. JLM has more than 1,800 members and is the 13th largest Junior League in the world.

A long time community volunteer, Beth has served on numerous local non-profit boards, including the United Way of Southwest Alabama, Mobile Historic Development Commission, Mobile Area Education Foundation, Leadership Mobile, and others. She has also held many different volunteer positions within an extremely diverse group of organizations. She was a participant in the Leadership Coastal Alabama Class of 2004-2005.

In 2005-2006, Beth spearheaded JLM Hurricane Katrina relief efforts across the Gulf Coast. Through these efforts JLM coordinated relief volunteers; raised an additional $65,000 for relief efforts and secured over $75,000 worth of needed supplies that were redistributed to those most needing assistance after the hurricane. She was named JLM’s 2005-2006 Active of the Year.

After a successful career in Pharmaceutical Sales with Eli Lilly and company, Beth now works part-time in sales and marketing for a family owned business, Manufacturer’s Packaging Services, selling commercial and industrial packaging and shipping supplies.

Born in Tennessee, raised in Birmingham, Beth has called Mobile home for the last 16 years. She is happily married to Henry Morrissette. They have two children, Elizabeth, 10, and Henry T, 7. Beth and her family are members of Government Street Presbyterian Church.
