Bonner: AMA sold its soul to the devil

MOBILE, Ala. - Alabama Congressman Jo Bonner says the health care reform bill is the "bureaucrats' ultimate dream come true".

During an interview with Fox 10 News anchor Bob Grip Friday afternoon, Bonner was asked if the AARP and AMA's endorsements of the Democrat sponsored bill would change his vote opposing the measure.

He said, "Absolutely not. If anything I think it just exposes that AARP has ulterior motives that are not for the benefit of the people, the millions of senior citizens they claim to represent. And I don't think anyone should be surprised that the AMA was supportive; they've sold their soul to the devil a long time ago on this....Bob, this is, I think, one of the most critical votes certainly in my lifetime...This is the bureaucrats' ultimate dream come true is to have massive expansion of government's intrusion into our lives."
