Ten Caring Gifts

GULF COAST - As you're figuring out your holiday budget, we have an idea for you. How about spending some of that Christmas money to help those in need. You can also decide exactly how to spend each dollar. It's all part of Volunteers of America's 10 Caring Gifts.

You have a number of options. The first is to put your money toward a Cash Gift. There are four cash gifts.

A Gift of Hope donation helps Hurricane Katrina survivors. The money will buy building materials for volunteers working on damaged homes.

A Gift of Joy will buy clothing for those in need.

A Gift of Peace will work to find temporary housing, food, and other help for the homeless in our area.

A Gift of Love donation will help find health care for folks with special needs.

You can also break down your donation for any of VOA's Holiday operations. These programs, like Operation Stay Warm and Operation Food for the Holidays target specific needs, like staying warm, providing food, and educational supplies.
