Gulf Coast - It's tough to be a Mom. It really is! You face difficult decisions all the time. You balance all the needs of your children every day! And, there's no manual for raising kids.

But, there is good news today! Help is available.

In fact, one local organization is dedicated to helping Moms figure it all out. The Exchange Club Family Center offers a way for Moms to share their experiences. We got to see a group of Moms and little ones getting together to just have fun.

But, this organization also offers classes and individualized help, even home visits. It's all designed to help Moms be better Moms! Lydia Pettijohn is the Executive Director of the Family Center. She says, "children don't come with a set of instructions, and there's no shame in looking for those instructions. We have them, and we can help their family be healthier and happier if they learn those skills."

And, here's the great thing about these services: they're free! The classes cover everything from good discipline techniques, to home safety, child development, and anger and stress management. And, if you'd like more than that, you can sign up for home visits. The Family Center will assign you a buddy. They'll visit with you weekly, and help whatever issues you may be facing.

The Exchange Club Family Center is also a great resource. They can connect you with services and programs all over our area. The Family Center is located at 601 Bel Air Boulevard, Suite 100. You can reach them by phone, at 479-5700.

For more information, you can log onto their website, just click on this link: www.exchangeclubfamilycenter.org .
