Meth suspect on the loose

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. - The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office is searching for a suspected meth dealer, 46-year-old Jeffrey Todd Gates. Deputies say he's believed to be armed and dangerous and he could be driving a white Ford F-150.

Investigators say Gates is a major meth dealer in the Baldwin County and Mobile areas. Deputies say they've been watching Gates for at least six to eight months.

On Tuesday, deputies served a search warrant at his home near County Road 48 and Adams Drive.

Investigators say they arrested two others at the home, but Gates wasn't there.

Deputies also found several weapons at the home, including rifles, shotguns and other weapons.

"Mr. Gates is a meth user. He's a meth dealer. He was in the Baldwin County and we believe he's still there," said Captain Steve Arthur. "He should be considered armed and dangerous and
he's a user so he's unpredictable."

Once found, Gates is facing charges for both meth use and distribution.
