Noah Wyle Stars in the Saga of Life and Survival After an Alien Invasion in the Second Season of TNT's Summer Hit, Falling Skies, From Executive Producer Steven Spielberg. The five-time Emmy Award nominee got his big break in the classic film "A Few Good Men," and went on to star as Dr. John Carter on the long running hospital hit "ER."

This summer, you can watch Noah as he returns to television as Tom Mason, a father and former college professor leading the civilian resistance against a catastrophic alien invasion in TNT's "Falling Skies." "Falling Skies" chronicles the chaotic aftermath of an alien attack that has left most of the world completely incapacitated.

In the nine months since the initial invasion, the few remaining survivors have banded together outside major cities to begin the difficult task of fighting back. Each day is a test of survival as citizen soldier’s work to protect the people in their care while also engaging in an insurgency campaign against the occupying alien force, whose nature and purpose remains a mystery.

As the second season of Falling Skies opens, three months have passed since Tom went willingly with the aliens in one of their ships. No one has seen or heard from him during this time, and his absence has taken its toll on his sons.

More mysterious alien creatures will be introduced throughout the new season. Guest stars this summer include Brandon Jay McLaren from "The Killing", and Terry O'Quinn from "Lost", who will play Arthur Manchester, Tom's mentor and former professor, in the last two episodes this season.

Wyle is also at work on the civil war miniseries "To Appomattox" with Rob Lowe and the sports drama "Snake and Mongoose."

Wyle became interested in acting in high school, after he participated in a theatre-arts program at Northwestern University. After graduating, he became determined to pursue acting as a career. His first professional role was "Blind Faith," followed by his first feature film, "Crooked Hearts."

His big break came when he was offered a role in the box-office hit "A Few Good Men." He also appeared in the film "Swing Kids," and in "The Myth of Fingerprints." In 1994, he landed the role of Dr. John Carter on "ER," garnering Wyle five Emmy Award nominations as well as three Golden Globe nominations for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series. He starred in TNT's "The Librarian" film series.

Wyle is the artistic producer of his own Los Angeles-based theatre company. He also works on behalf of human rights and animal welfare issues.
