Cherish talks to Courteney Cox & Josh Hopkins

You can kick off the New Year in Cougar Town! The hit sitcom starring Courteney Cox and Josh Hopkins is now on TBS!

Courteney Cox became a household name and overnight star playing Monica Geller on Friends. Josh Hopkins is best known for playing Dr. Noah Barnes on Private Practice, and from his roles on Ally McBeal and Swingtown.

Cox stars as Jules Cobb, a recently remarried mom who is never far from her wine and her group of friends known as the "cul de sac crew." They include her under-achieving ex-husband, Bobby, her next-door neighbor and confidante Ellie, and Ellie's loveable average husband, Andy. Other characters in the crew are the neighbor-turned-husband Grayson, and Jules' feisty protégé, Laurie. Jules also has a 21-year-old son, Travis, who often proves himself more adult than anyone in the group.

Cougar Town follows this family of friends that keep things funny as they support each other through the challenges and pitfalls of life with a little dysfunction and a whole lot of wine. On the new season of Cougar Town, Jules and Grayson are adjusting to married life as Travis tries his hand at being a player.

Meanwhile, Ellie will head back to work, Bobby jumps back into the dating scene and nosy neighbor Tom will try his best to become a part of the crew. Along the way, Jules and her friends will wrestle with big life issues, like whether it's considered adultery if a married man hooks up with a sex robot, or what kind of courage it takes to stick an arm into a muddy hole in order to catch a catfish barehanded.


Courteney Cox made her acting debut in 1984 on the daytime soap As the World Turns and was cast for Bruce Springsteen's video "Dancing in the Dark" later that year. She landed her first well-known work as an actress in 1987, when she was cast as the girlfriend of Michael J. Fox on Family Ties.



Cox became a household name with the launch of Friends. In 1996, she starred in Wes Craven's horror comedy Scream, which grossed more than $100 million at the box office. She has gone on to reprise her role three additional times for the Scream franchise.

In 2007, Courteney created, starred in and produced the FX comedy series Dirt. 
Additional film credits include Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Bedtime Stories, 3000 Miles to Graceland, Mr. Destiny, Cocoon: The Return, Zoom, November, The Longest Yard and Barnyard. In June 2012, Talhotblond premiered on Lifetime, marking Cox's first full-length project as a director.


Josh Hopkins recently starred in the drama Lebanon, Pa., an independent drama directed by Ben Hickernell. He also played Dr. Noah Barnes on Private Practice, and appeared on CSI: Miami. In addition, he was in the film Pretty Ugly People.



Hopkins made his debut as a season regular on the FOX series Ally McBeal as Raymond Milberry, a rival lawyer and potential love interest to Calista Flockhart's character. Hopkins' additional television credits include appearances on Swingtown, Ghost Whisperer and Surrender Dorothy, Brothers & Sisters, Robert Ludlum's Covert One: The Hades Factor, Pirates of Silicon Valley, FOX's New York Undercover, Jack & Jill, and Kate Brasher.

Josh is the son of former representative Larry Hopkins. He grew up in Lexington, Kentucky, and attended Auburn University.
