Hardcore Pawn: Les Gold

After a chaotic season of sibling rivalry and epic backroom feuding, truTV’s breakout hit Hardcore Pawn returns for a sixth season. The series, which ranks as truTV’s most popular, is an eye-opening look at one of the country’s largest pawnshops and the family that runs it. The new season of Hardcore Pawn is set to launch Tuesday, July 10, at 8pm.
 
Produced by Zodiak USA, Hardcore Pawn takes viewers behind the scenes of the immense American Jewelry & Loan, a family business owned by third-generation pawnbroker Les Gold. Working with Les are his son, Seth, who is being groomed to eventually take over the store, and daughter, Ashley, who thinks Seth isn’t ready for the top job. After expanding American Jewelry & Loan to a second location, the Golds have been trying to juggle both stores and their staff. The fifth season ended with a shocking blowout with the Golds’ right-hand man, Rich who’s been with the store for more than 25 years. Les wants to make an example out of Rich and demands he leave the store, making Rich’s future with American Jewelry & Loan unknown.
 
The sixth season kicks off with Rich returning to speak to Les about their confrontation. In a last-ditch effort to regain Les’ trust, Rich spots what he thinks are stolen goods. If he’s right, he’ll look like a savior. If he’s wrong, he will undoubtedly be handed his final walking papers. Meanwhile, Seth continues on his path to take over the store from his father, all under the disapproving eye of his sister Ashley.
 
Hardcore Pawn enjoyed a sensational first quarter, averaging more than 3.2 million viewers and ranking #1 in its time period among men 18-49. The show also scored a second-place ranking in its timeslot with viewers, key adult demos and men 18-34, with triple-digit time-period growth across the board.
