Sergio Rangel performs a song from his album

Sergio Rangel is a 22-year-old musician originally from Austin, Texas. He says he ended up in Mobile when he got off at the wrong bus stop, and he just never left.

Sergio has been playing guitar and songwriting since he was 16. He says he never thought he had what it took to be a singer/songwriter. But one day, some of his friends persuaded him to take a gig, and the turn out was bigger than he expected.

He says when he started singing and writing songs, it was just to give him an escape from everyday life. He says he could take out anger and aggression through songs, and the beautiful sounds of the notes would calm him down. He says he feels he has a voice that can speak, not just as someone with catchy phrases and hooks, but with feelings and passion.

Recently Sergio has been recording his three song demo, which is available on iTunes. He's also working on a seven song album which consists primarily of acoustic tracks. His songs are a mixture of Blues and Pop with a Jazz influence.
