Swelling with Gulf Coast pride, Mob Towne Revival hails from Mobile, and the city’s central location along the Third Coast comes through in the music. The band has played in support of such acts as the soulful Laura Reed, Deep Pocket, and John Popper. They have also shared the stage with hip-hop artists including Gift of Gab, Nappy Roots, and Bone Thugs-n-Harmony.
Mob Towne Revival combines the sultriness of humid Delta blues, the vibe of hip-hop lyricists, the soul of the New Orleans’ funk scene, and the wild festivities of a Mardi Gras parade. The sound is big and the grooves are contagious. MTR has rocked crowds across the Gulf Coast, headlining local staples Soul Kitchen and the Alabama Music Box consistently and earning spots in regional festivals.
Upcoming Shows:
August 25 - "Localpalooza" at Tacky Jacks on the Causeway, and at Alchemy Tavern downtown Mobile
August 26 - "Pass the Good festival" in Pensacola at Live Niteclub
August 31 - "Castaways" in Ocean Springs
September 1 - "Castaways" in Ocean Springs
