The "Whyte Caps" started out at Chris Beverly and Mason Henderson playing acoustic gigs around the Gulf Coast two years ago. They wanted to put together a band but they couldn't find the missing links. Soon after, Chris won the Gulf Shores High School talent show and was given the opportunity to play for the 40th annual Shrimp festival. That's when they added Kyle Thronton to the band and formed the "Whyte Caps".

Chris and Mason say they're influenced by John Mayer, Corey Smith, 3 doors down, Red hot Chilli Peppers, and Jason Aldean,. Kyle says his influences are Travis Barker, Neil Pert, and Chad Smith.
