Lathan Moore has been singing since he was four years old. He grew up in a small coal mining community where his father worked the mines for 35 years, and Lathan says that's what gave him an appreciation for hard work and perseverance.

After graduating from Harrisburg High School in 2001, Lathan joined a country Gospel Quartet called “Eastern Sky” to sing baritone. They toured for two years throughout the Mid-East and Ohio Valley. Lathan was also a member of the Reliance Quartet from Paducah, Kentucky, where he sang lead. He attended Southeastern Illinois Junior College on a Music Scholarship in 2001.

Lathan was very active in the theater and the performing arts, and he played lead roles in “Phantom of the Opera,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “My Fair Lady,” “Annie,” “The Grinch,” “Annie Get Your Gun” and “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.” Shortly after opening for the Gaither Vocal Band, Lathan made a move to Plainview, TX where he attended Wayland Baptist University to study music and theatre. While he was there,  he performed with several local musicians and continued to develop his interest in country music.

After completing a year of college, Lathan returned home to Illinois and worked in the mines while saving money to move to Nashville to pursue his career as a country music singer. In 2004, Lathan entered the Southern Illinois Regional Colgate Country Showdown and that's where he was discovered by someone at Chelsea Studios in Nashville who invited him to record some music.

Lathan made the move to Nashville and has been performing in local venues and at private corporate events. Lathan plays the trumpet, trombone, tuba, piano, guitar and he also writes songs. He released his debut album, "Love In Your Life", with Blue Steel Records in 2008. In 2012, he signed on with Render Records, and has since released "Nothin’ like a Woman and Forever Man".
