1 dead, 1 injured in home invasion

ENSLEY, Fla. (WALA) - Authorities say a home invasion in Escambia County has left one person dead and another person hospitalized.

Deputies were called out to the 1400 block of Stefani Circle around 2:00 a.m. for a home invasion. When they arrived, deputies say they found a woman inside the home dead from an apparent gunshot wound. They say deputies found a man who was also shot. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Investigators have not released his condition. 

Deputies have not named any suspects in the case. Anyone with information is asked to call the Escambia County Florida Sheriff's Office.
