Hundreds of people gathered at Hank Aaron Stadium Saturday morning to celebrate the second annual Buddy Walk.
The walk is sponsored by the Down Syndrome Society of Mobile
County.
Scott Dennis, an organizer, said the walk is just one of the
events the organization holds to educate people about down
syndrome.
"Raising awareness for down syndrome is very important. These
are individuals who are part of our community and we like to
promote inclusion for these individuals," said Dennis.
This was the second year for the walk and based on the turnout, it was a huge success.
