BAY MINETTE, Ala. - Evidence has been seen and testimony heard. Closing arguments wrapped up Thursday in the murder trial of Eric Buzbee.

"It's been a long 4-weeks for everybody in that courtroom but it's been a long 2 years for Eric Buzbee. We are relieved to get this case back in front of a jury," said John Beck, Buzbee's Attorney.

Buzbee is accused of killing service station owner Bobby Wilson. Both sides had one more chance to address the jurors. The defense said the state has no evidence, the prosecution said the evidence is clear.

"I feel like we've gotten the evidence in that we need. It was a lot to sort through with civilian witnesses, law enforcement, forensics, we had a lot of testimony, a lot of physical evidence but we are ready for them to be instructed and for them to render a verdict," said Prosecutor Michael Pylant.

Both sides said they wouldn't be surprised if a verdict was reached Friday.

Bobby Wilson was beaten and robbed inside of his Spanish Fort service station in August 2007. He later died from his injuries.

This is the State's third attempt at prosecuting this case. The first trial ended with a hung jury, the second with a mistrial.
