PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Southwest Panhandle Search and Rescue team trains several times a week. They've been involved in several high profile searches along the Gulf Coast.
They helped Brianna Parish's family find her body. Laurie Strite with the team said this is how they prepare when they get calls like that one, "I think that's where training kicks in, we're training to get those calls, we have all of our gear prepared, get in car, get to scene, move into robotic mode."
The Southwest Panhandle Search and Rescue team responds to several calls each year. Their cadaver dog has made eight recoveries in about the last year.
