JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - State health officials say swine flu vaccine will be available
next week at all county health clinics and in some schools.
However, the state's supply is limited and health officials
are recommending only priority groups be the first to receive the
vaccine at clinics. Those priority groups are pregnant women,
children age 6 months to 4 years, and infant caregivers.
The state has received 223,800 doses of the vaccine. State
Epidemiologist Dr. Mary Currier says more is expected in coming
weeks.
Currier says she didn't have a list of schools that will
begin offering the vaccine. Parents will be sent consent forms.
