DAPHNE, Ala. - It's a crime that shocked the Eastern Shore. A young woman, Brianna Parish, was found murdered in Daphne. Monday, police released new information on the case and they're hoping one of you may be able to help solve it.

Monday afternoon I spoke with the Baldwin County Coroner Jim Small, he says an autopsy was performed however they are not releasing the results due to the investigation.

The victim's family believes those results may not only tell them what happened, but also what will lead police to Brianna's killer. Twenty-one year old Brianna Parish's lifeless body was found hidden under debris in a Daphne sewage plant.

Family members believe she was raped, but can't seem to understand why and how she got here. Brianna's father Bruce said, “We're not sure what to think, we know what we hoped happened. We hope he slipped her some drugs and she was out.”

Police have questioned a person of interest to try and find out. He is Troy MacDonald, although he's no stranger to the law, police say he isn't a suspect. But they do believe there is a possible drug connection between him and Parish. Police said he was also the last person to talk with her.

Parish was last seen at the Bay House Pub after she was about to enter with a friend. Friends say she stayed outside on the phone but never made it into the bar. Bruce said, “Had she not left her friend this would not have happened."

As Parish's family consoles each other, they said they know they can't turn back the hands of time, but they can give advice to young females who could have been in the same position as Brianna.

Her cousin Auna Wallace said there's power in numbers, "I've never been the type to go out a lot, but now if I do, I'm going to have somebody with me at all times, because for this to happen here, it's just unbelievable."

They never believed something so tragic could happen to someone so loving. Auna added, "Bri was just the happiest person, never upset, she was always there for everybody." Police are still looking for any clues that could possibly tell them who's responsible. They also said Brianna's gold purse, pink wallet and keys with pictures on them are still missing.

If you know anything about this crime, call Daphne Police.
