Woman arrested for false police report

MOBILE, Ala. - On January 01, 19-year-old Maranda Slate reported to police that she was robbed in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart on South Schillinger Road. She told police she was getting into her vehicle when she was approached by an unknown black male. Slate told police that the unknown black male threatened her and demanded money as she entered her vehicle.

The investigation later revealed that Maranda Slate made a false report. On January 7, Slate was arrested for False Reporting to Law Enforcement Authorities.
