MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - A jury in Montgomery has returned a $2.75 million verdict against Ford Motor Co.
The jury awarded the judgment Friday to the estate of Catherine Parker, who was killed in July 2007 when her 1999 Ford Explorer rolled over during a crash.
Plaintiff attorney Greg Allen argued that the roof was weak and that cost Parker her life.
Defense attorney Alan Thomas said Ford did nothing wrong and the vehicle was safe. He said Ford will appeal.
