BREWTON, Ala. (WALA) - Capital murder suspect Cedric Floyd is back in custody after having broken out of the Escambia County detention center in Alabama.
Authorities captured Floyd around 4:15 Sunday afternoon, when he was spotted walking down the street in Pensacola and arrested. He escaped Saturday morning.
Floyd is accused of breaking into tina jones' atmore home last year and shooting her to death.
The 30-year-old is also a registered sex offender, who was convicted in 2003 of raping a 14-year-old girl.
Floyd is now being held in the Escambia County, Fla. jail, awaiting extradition to Alabama.
