LOXLEY, Ala. - Final respects were paid to a Robertsdale High graduate and Auburn student who died in a tragic accident.

Loxley First Baptist Church was filled Monday afternoon with those who remember Sarah Anderson. Her friends describe her as someone who loved the marching band.

Anderson was the drum major at Robertsdale High School.

Jordan Bettner marched with her.

"We had really good times together. She was very sweet. You could always depend on her for anything," said Bettner.

Anderson went on to play with the Auburn University band.

Amber Meredith went to college with her.

"We both were involved in separate things, but whenever I would see her on campus, we would say hey to each other and were happy to see each other," said Meredith.

Anderson died last week in an accident outside Montgomery. Police say her car hydroplaned and hit a tractor trailer. She was just 19-years-old.

Friends say they will never forget her.

The Auburn University band came down on tour buses to pay their respects.
