FRISCO CITY, Ala. (WALA) - A Frisco City church was damaged in a Sunday morning fire, and fire officials say a furnace may be behind the blaze.
First United Methodist Church on Hwy. 21 in Monroe County was the scene of the fire, which apparently started upstairs in the rear of the church.
No one was hurt, and fire damage was mostly confined to that area, but there was some also water damage.
Officials say, right now, they believe a furnace is behind the fire.
Fire fighters from six departments answered the call.
