EVERGREEN, Ala. (WALA) - One woman was killed and another had to be hospitalized after an early morning accident on Sunday.

Alabama State Troopers said 71-year-old Norma Davis of Columbus, Ga. was killed when her vehicle collided with Tami Israel's on interstate 65 near the 86-mile marker.

Troopers said Israel was not wearing her seatbelt; the Moss Point, Miss. woman was ejected from her vehicle and transported by Life Flight helicopter to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola for treatment.

Troopers said they will continue to investigate but, as of now, there is no further information available on the accident.
