Spring break to be warmer, sunny

GULF SHORES, Ala. (AP) - It's spring break across much of Alabama, and the weather is cooperating at the beach.

The forecast for Gulf Shores calls for sunny skies and a high near 70 degrees on Monday with only a slight chance of rain. It's much the same for Tuesday, although nighttime temperatures will still be in the 40s.

Many of the state's public school systems are on break this week, along with colleges included the University of Alabama and Auburn University.
