BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WALA) - The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office said Deputy Scott Ward's funeral will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 10 a.m. in the Fairhope Civic Center.

A wake for Ward will be held at the Wolfe Bayview Funeral Home on Monday, Nov. 26 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. The funeral home is set for 19698 Greeno Road in Fairhope.

Law enforcement attending the funeral have been asked to park across the street from the Cemetery at the Colony Cemetery.

The BCSO said, due to parking limitations, those who want to go directly to the cemetery should do so.

The 15-year law enforcement veteran was killed during an exchange of gunfire with Michael Jansen as Ward and two other deputies responded to a call of a domestic dispute on Mallard Lane in Fairhope. Jansen was also killed in the shootout.

Another deputy, who has not been identified, continued to recover in the hospital on Sunday after he was shot during the same incident.

The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office said Sunday they will hold a press conference on Monday, Nov. 26, at 11 a.m. in reference to the deadly shooting.
