MOBILE, Ala. - Alabama Power says almost all customers in the Theodore area have power back. The power outage occurred shortly before 7:30 a.m.
Officials say there was a transmission problem that affected six sub-stations. In all, about 18,000 people were without power.
Power crews worked to re-distribute power through other locations. Crews have not yet been able to identify what caused the problem.
Traffic signals on Dauphin Street, Airport Boulevard and Government Street were out. Some lights are still out in those areas. Please use caution at all intersections until all power is restored.
