MOBILE, Ala. - FOX10 News has learned much more about the bank robber shot to death by Mobile Police. His name was James Allen Hill, and he was no stranger to the law.

In 2007, Hill was a suspect in three bank robberies in Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi. Hill was held in jail for 18 months, before being released. The District Attorney's Office in Lafayette, Louisiana said there wasn’t enough evidence to prosecute Hill.

Even before those robberies, Hill had been in and out of prisons in Texas. He served eight years for burglary, and had an arrest record dating back to 1981.
