Five arrested for Miss. home invasion

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WALA) - Pascagoula Police are investigating a home invasion that took place at an apartment complex around 7am on Monaco Lake Dr.

According to officers, two men knocked on an apartment door asking for help locating a baby. Police say, when the victim cracked open the door, he and another man inside the apartment was attacked and hit with the butt of an AK 47 assault rifle.

Police say the two intruders demanded all their valuables and forced the two victims by gunpoint to show where the valuables were located. Then police say the two theives left through the back door.

Police, with the help of K9 'Rambo', were able to track the suspects to another apartment in the complex. When police went into the traced apartment, they found seven people hiding, a Dell laptop computer, an Acer laptop computer, two IPOD phones, two wallets, jewelry, and other items belonging to the two victims.

Five people, including one minor, were arrested and charged with home invasion and accessory. The minor will be charged as an adult. The suspects are Michael Patrick Myers, Shelton Donta Deangelo, Mandy Lea Pace, Jamie Faye Delaughter, and Jessica Ann Burroughs. All the suspects are scheduled for a bond hearing Wednesday afternoon.
