MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Jury selection continued on Wednesday in the capital murder trial of Michael Lee.
Prosecutors say in April 2010, Lee and three other men forced their way into 23-year-old Kyser Miree's home in midtown. Miree was a Vanderbilt graduate who was working as a Chevron engineer.
More than 80 men and women gathered in the ceremonial courtroom and answered a wide range of questions as attorneys try to seat a jury.
The questions included whether they knew Miree, their thoughts on the death penalty, and whether they’ve watched crime TV shows.
Michael Lee sat quietly in a white shirt and khakis. On the opposite side of the room sat Miree's parents, Ben and Kathryn.
A list of possible witnesses was also announced in the courtroom.
The state may call upon Lee's alleged accomplices in this case — Bo Taylor, Jamal Lang and Earnest Wiggins.
The three have told investigators that Lee was the triggerman in the April 2010 robbery.
The defense said they may call upon Felicia Lee to testify. She's Michael Lee's mother.
In 2010, Felicia Lee was arrested after police say she intimidated a witness in the Kyser Miree murder case.
Attorneys will continue to question the group throughout the day on Thursday.
The District Attorney says a jury probably won't be seated until the end of the week, and the judge says this case will last two weeks.
If convicted, Lee could face the death penalty or life without parole.
