ELSANOR, Ala. - A man is shot twice at a home in Elsanor, during what authorities said was a drug deal.
Early Friday morning Baldwin County Deputies were called to a home on Bird Hog Road. When they arrived they found found Gary Wofford shot twice, in the arm and chest.
He was taken to a Pensacola hospital and is expected to recover.
Jim Moore lives across the street. He said woke up and saw
deputies going in and out of his neighbor's home.
" I never had no problems with them. I just can't believe
that was going on that close to him," said Moore.
Deputies said the people who live in the home were renters. They were not there when deputies arrived.
The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office said cocaine was found
inside the home, packaged and ready to sell.
" If you dealing with drugs, most of the time, it will
eventually go bad."
Deputies do have a suspect, but can not release the name at this point.
Authorities also said the victim was involved in the drug deal.
