Meth suspect arrested with minor

BALDWIN COUNTY - The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Michael Stewart of Stockton after they say he furnished controlled substances to a minor.

Deputies say during a domestic investigation, they discovered that Michael Stewart had furnished a 17-year-old with meth for the last two years. Deputies say Stewart confessed that the minor and he smoked meth together.

According to deputies, the minor says she was with Stewart on two different dates while he cooked meth with several friends.

On March 2, 2010, Deputies arrested Michael Stewart and the minor for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of prescription drug without a prescription.

Deputies waited on charging Stewart with the sales/furnishing of controlled substance by person over 18 to person under age 18 until further investigation could be completed. Stewart was arrested on March 15th in Bay Minette.

Stewart is currently at the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Corrections Center. This charge is a class A felony and carries a possibility of 10 years to life in prison if convicted.
