MOBILE, Ala. - An assault suspect, wounded in a scuffle with a Mobile Police officer, was transferred from the hospital to the Mobile County Metro Jail.
FOX10 News anchor Bob Grip was at Mobile Police Headquarters when Ricky Lett, still dressed in hospital scrubs, was walked to a police car for his ride to jail.
Lett moaned and said he didn't want to talk about the incident that left him with three bullet wounds. Officer Christopher Moye stopped Lett at Government Boulevard and McVay last Thursday. Officers say that's when Lett ran into the woods behind a gas station, grabbed the officer's taser and tried to tase the officer. That's when police say, Officer Moye shot Lett.
