Two arrested on drug charges

MOBILE, Ala. - A search warrant yielded over a pound of pot and two arrests. The warrant also uncovered drug paraphernalia and two handguns.

Narcotics investigators with Mobile Police executed the search warrant. They found 537 grams of marijuana, which is approximately one pound, three ounces, valued at approximately $1,520. The also found a bottle of codeine valued at approximately $200, two digital scales, baggies, a .45 caliber and .380 caliber handgun, an undisclosed amount of US currency, and a 2003 Cadillac Deville.

Authorities arrested Jeffery Henry and charged him with with possession of marijuana first degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Also arrested was Shanta Morris. She was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana first degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
