MOBILE, Alabama (WALA) - Anthony Hopkins, the man found guilty of killing his wife and stuffing her body in a freezer for almost four years, has been sentenced. He was sentenced to life, plus 51 years.
Hopkins was found guilty of Arletha Hopkins' murder, and raping his stepdaughter. He was also found guilty of sodomy, incest, and sexual abuse.
According to police, Hopkins killed Arletha, then put her body on a trailer. He then drove the body to Jackson, Alabama, where he buried it behind a church. Investigators said Hopkins later drove back and dug up the body. He took it back to Mobile, and put it in a brand new deep freezer.
Hopkins was arrested in July 2008, while preaching a revival at Inspirational Tabernacle Church in Jackson.
