MAGNOLIA SPRINGS, Ala. (WALA) - Before they could arrest two suspects while executing a search warrant, sheriff’s deputies had to break up a fight between them in a Magnolia Springs apartment.

Deputies with the Baldwin County Sheriff’s office’s Drug Task Force said they arrested Mark Murray,  Jessica Brandon and another adult male inside the apartment on Feb. 21.

Officials said, when they arrived, deputies heard the fight taking place and broke it up upon making entry. Deputies said they also saw items in plain view that were consistent with drug manufacturing and use.

Drug Task Force investigators said they located marijuana, drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine oil and finished meth, along with items commonly used to manufacture the drug.

Murray, 51, has a history of drugs in Alabama and Georgia, according to authorities. He was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, using false identification to obstruct justice, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, second-degree possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of controlled substance.

Brandon, 25, was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of controlled substance.

Both suspects had their bonds set at over $1 million.
