MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Eric Buzbee, who was previously charged with the murder of Spanish Fort business owner Bobby Wilson, is back behind bars on Monday.
On Monday, jail records said Buzbee was in Mobile Metro jail with several theft and drug-related charges.
“It was determined that he was responsible for multiple vehicle burglaries residential burglaries and stealing the gas,” said Levy. “It turns out he has multiple warrants out of Baldwin County in reference to some burglaries.”
Cpl. Chris Levy with the Mobile Police Department said Sunday morning, police received reports of power tools being taken from a carport and a man stealing gas from a victim's boat in Mobile. Police identified the vehicle in the report as 28-year-old Buzbee’s.
Authorities said crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia were also found in the vehicle.
Wilson was robbed and beaten to death at his Spanish Fort service station in 2007. The state charged and attempted to convict Buzbee for murder. His first trial ended with a hung jury; the second in a mistrial.
After a third trial, Buzbee was acquitted of killing Wilson.
