CRESTVIEW, Fla. (WALA) - Crestview Police said they arrested a Laurel Hill man after they found cocaine and what authorities suspected were meth ingredients in the back of his car during a traffic man.
Police said the traffic stop began around 11 p.m. Friday night. Terry Bofonchik, the driver, was detained after CPD says they found he had a suspended driver’s license.
Police searched him and found cocaine and chemicals commonly used in making methamphetamine. Police said the Clandestine Laboratory Removal Team responded to the traffic stop and was able to safely remove the chemicals from the vehicle.
Bofonchik was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine, possession of precursor chemicals for manufacturing methamphetamine, and driving while license suspended as a habitual traffic offender.
Bofonchik was transported and released into the custody of the Okaloosa County Jail.
