MOBILE, Alabama (WALA) - The stepmother of Natalie and Jonathan Chase Deblase is back in Mobile. Heather Keaton was booked into the Mobile County Metro Jail around 1:30 a.m. Monday morning.

Keaton is charged with two counts of willful abuse of a child after being arrested in Kentucky. Officials say she could face new charges.

The arrest warrant for the children’s father, John Deblase, states Keaton tortured the children by binding them with duct tape, stuffing one child in a suitcase and forcing the other to stand in a corner all night.

Human remains found in Citronelle Saturday morning are said to be that of Natalie Deblase. Tests will be run to determine if the bones are Natalie’s. The same is being done on remains found in Vancleave, Mississippi that are said to be her brother Chase.

The jail log shows Heather Keaton is scheduled to be in court at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

John Deblase is being held at the Mobile County Metro Jail on $500,000 bond. His bond was raised on Friday. He is charged with murder and corpse abuse.
