ORANGE BEACH, Ala. (WALA) - Baldwin County Drug Task Force members arrested two people on meth and child endangerment charges in Orange Beach after receiving an anonymous tip.

Michelle Nelson and Jason Crocker are behind bars for manufacturing meth and chemically endangering a child after deputies said they found the ingredients for making meth and two children inside their trailer.

Baldwin County Spokesman Anthony Lowery said when task force members arrived, they smelled a strong chemical odor emitting from the trailer.

Investigators said they knocked and a female identified as Michelle Nelson answered the door.  Lowery said that when officers identified themselves, she screamed "Jason!" and ran toward the back of the trailer.

Lowery said she was immediately detained and officers found active components of a meth lab, as well as two small children inside the trailer.

Authorities said Jason Crocker was contacted when he returned to the trailer. He provided consent and more items used in manufacturing meth were located.

Authorities said both subjects confessed to manufacturing and shopping pseudoephedrine.

Neighbors said they weren't surprised there was a meth arrest in their area.

"We been kind of had an idea that something was going on down there but we couldn't never really prove it," said Robert Froelich.

Neighbors were especially concerned because of all the kids in the neighborhood.

"I'm glad they got it out of here. We've got too many kids in the trailer park. We don't need that in this little environment here. We've got a nice little community here," said Froelich.

They were both charged with first degree manufacturing a chemical substance and Nelson faces chemical endangerment of a child.
