MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WALA) - UPDATE: 4:54 p.m. Police say one man has been arrested and two more will be charged in the early Wednesday morning double shooting on Old Military Road.
The suspects have been identified as Ricky Turner, 28, Tavares Jones, 26, and Bryant Reynolds, 25.
Mobile Police Chief Micheal T. Williams says the preliminary motive is robbery home invasion. He says the front door had been kicked in. Shots were fired by the suspects and by Willie Sullivan, Sr. The chief says Sullivan Sr. hit two of the suspects.
Reynolds and Jones' heads were grazed by a bullet. They are being treated at USA Medical Center. Their wounds are considered non-life threatening.
Turner has been arrested and charged with capital murder. When Reynolds and Jones are released, they will be taken to Mobile Metro Jail and booked on capital murder charges as well.
1:36 p.m. Family members have gathered at the home where two of their loved ones were found dead by Mobile Police early Wednesday morning.
Police responded to a call of shots fired on Old Military Road around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Once on the scene, they discovered the bodies of 66-year-old Willie Sullivan, Sr. and his grandson, Glenn Sullivan. Both had been shot. Ashley Rains, PIO for Mobile Police, told FOX10 News Willie Sullivan is the father of a Mobile Police Officer.
Mobile Police patrol cars and crime scene units have been seen throughout the neighborhood surrounding the crime scene.
Family members spoke to Chasity Byrd off-camera and simply said that what happened is unbelievable.
