Employee shot, suspect still on the run

PENSACOLA, Fla. - In Pensacola, deputies are searching for the person responsible for an attempted robbery and shooting Friday night.

It happened at the Happy Seven Food Mart on Lillian Highway.

An employee was taking out the trash when he was approached by an armed man wearing black clothing. During the scuffle, the employee was shot in the arm.

The victim is expected to be okay.

The suspect got away empty-handed.
