ENSLEY, Fla. (WALA) - Matt Baxter with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office said the Escambia County Sheriff's SWAT team was involved in a standoff.

Baxter said the ECSO responded to a domestic violence call at a home in Ensley around 1 p.m. Monday afternoon and a suspect inside refused to come out.

The victim was already standing outside the residence on Callahan Place.

The SWAT unit was dispatched as efforts to get the suspect out continued to fail. The standoff lasted just over an hour until the suspect came out of the residence and was taken into custody.

There were no injuries reported in the incident.

FOX10 News will release more information as it comes available.
